What is DESIGN really?

Very basically, graphic design refers to the use of symbols, images and typography to relay a message. What that fails to take into account is the implementations of fonts, color schemes, layout to best present the information in the way a viewer can best take in.

Design applies to everything from return address labels to magazines to billboards.
